The kinesphere is the space around us within our limbs’ reach, without changing one’s place though. This imaginary sphere placed around the person is mostly used in dance or theater and symbolizes the personal space of the artist who is in the middle of this circle. Based on this principle, Clara Fanise positions herself at the center of the sheet and draws what she sees around her. Her own body for self-portraits and the surrounding space for the series about work-spaces. In the series of « Kinesphères-ink », we can see the process. Each position of the artist generates a different form. This creation process produces in addition to the represented space, an empty space, a white area, the real space where the body was located at the time of creation. This neutral zone, a negative pattern of a missing body is a very interesting aspect of the drawing.
